Men Who Lead Well | masculinity, insecurity, marriage, dad, faith, husband

Are insecurity, anger, or stress creating disconnection in your marriage or home? As a Christian husband or dad, do you feel the weight of leading your family spiritually, emotionally, and financially — but often feel inadequate, unsure, or overwhelmed?  Do you feel like you’re supposed to have it altogether but don’t?

If that’s you, you’re not alone. You’re in the right place!

This podcast is for Christian men who want clarity in their identity, confidence in their leadership, connection in their marriage, and strength in raising children who love Jesus.

Hey, I’m Glenn — husband, dad, and Christ follower. For years I tried leading my family on my own strength. I struggled with communication in marriage, emotional ups and downs, and misunderstood what biblical masculinity looked like.

I finally realized that if I wanted peace in my home, my understanding of leadership needed an overhaul from God. Through the Word, God rebuilt my identity, communication skills, and leadership one brick at a time.

If you’re ready to lead with confidence, create more peace in your home, and become a steady, Christ-centered husband and father — you don’t have to figure this out alone; let’s walk this road together.

So pause the world for a minute and let’s hang out!

Hey Men,
Have you ever looked up and realized it's been days—or even weeks—since you've spent meaningful time with God?
Are you leading your family spiritually, or are you hoping someone else will do it?
Could the reason you feel stuck, frustrated, or disconnected with family or life, be that you've slowly drifted away from God?
In this episode, Glenn shares a personal story from his deployment to Bosnia and explains how both life's hardships and life's comforts can pull men away from a vibrant relationship with God. Using Jesus' Parable of the Sower & the Seed, he explores how the condition of our hearts determines whether God's truth takes root and produces lasting transformation. You'll learn why self-discipline, consistent faith, and intentionally prioritizing God are essential for leading your marriage, fatherhood, and everyday life well. If you've been feeling spiritually stuck, emotionally reactive, or disconnected from your purpose, this episode will help you identify the signs of spiritual drift and show you how to find your way back.

Men,
Have you ever looked at a problem in your marriage, your finances, or your family and secretly hoped someone else would fix it?
Have you ever found yourself blaming your wife, your boss, your parents, your circumstances, or even God for where you are in life?
What if the breakthrough you're looking for begins the moment you stop passing the buck and start taking responsibility?
In this episode, Glenn talks about what is missing in masculinity today and why so many men feel confused about what it means to lead. Through examples from life and the Bible, he shows that strong men take responsibility instead of blaming others or passing the buck. This episode challenges husbands and fathers to lead with faith, own their actions, care for their marriage and family, and stop living from passivity or victimhood. Glenn reminds men that responsibility begins with themselves, including their relationship with God, their spiritual leadership at home, and the way they respond to everyday challenges. Men are encouraged to ask God for help, step into their role with strength and humility, and become leaders who take responsibility for what God has entrusted to them.

Husbands,
Does anger frequently impact your marriage?
When you feel criticized or disrespected, do you respond with peace—or with frustration and anger?
If your job, title, accomplishments, or reputation disappeared tomorrow, would you still know who you are?
Have you ever wondered why anger seems to show up so quickly in your marriage, even when you don't want it to? In this episode, Glenn explores the connection between insecurity and anger, showing how fear, frustration, and a shaky sense of identity can lead men to react, control, withdraw, or lash out. Using examples from life and culture, he explains why true security comes from knowing who God says you are rather than building your identity on changing circumstances or the opinions of others. You'll discover powerful biblical truths about your identity in Christ and learn practical ways to replace insecurity with confidence rooted in God's truth. If you want to strengthen your marriage, grow as a leader, and break the cycle of insecurity-driven anger, this episode provides a biblical starting point.

Dads,
Do your kids respect you or fear you?
Could the trust you're trying to build with your kids be getting torn down by the way you communicate when you're frustrated or angry?
If your children were asked to describe you in one word, would they say "loving" or "angry"?
When a father's anger becomes predictable, children often learn to protect themselves by pulling away rather than drawing near. In this episode, Glenn shares five practical steps to rebuild trust, restore connection, and create emotional safety in the home. He explains how emotional regulation, humility, and personal responsibility through effective communication can help fathers break unhealthy patterns and lead their families with greater consistency. You'll learn how small changes in your words, reactions, and presence can strengthen your relationship with your children and build lasting trust. If you're a father who wants to move from frustration to connection and lead your family well, this episode offers a practical path forward.

Husbands,
How would you rank your marriage on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being disconnected and 10 being united and fully connected spirit, soul and body?
What if the real reason your marriage feels disconnected isn't communication, conflict, or busy schedules—but a lack of shared purpose and vision?
Are you viewing your wife as a teammate in God's mission—or as someone you're competing with, correcting, or trying to change?
Does your marriage feel more like two people managing life together than a deeply connected partnership? In this episode, Glenn explores God's design for marriage and explains why true connection begins when husbands and wives see themselves as teammates rather than competitors. Looking at the creation account in Genesis, he unpacks how marriage was designed around unity, shared purpose, and complementary roles under God's leadership. You'll learn three practical ways to strengthen connection, develop a shared vision, and build a more unified marriage. If you want to improve your marriage, lead with greater intention, and deepen your relationship with your wife, this episode provides a biblical framework to help you get there.

Guys,
Is your faith something you actively live out every day, or has it become little more than a Sunday routine?
Do you feel connected to God, or are you trying to lead your life, marriage, and family while spiritually running on empty?
If someone watched your life Monday through Saturday, would they see evidence of a growing relationship with God?
Many Christian men believe in God, yet struggle to connect their faith to everyday life. In this episode, Glenn shares how his own relationship with God moved from religious routine and isolation to a vibrant, life-giving connection rooted in relationship. Drawing from Jesus' teaching in John 15, he explains why men who disconnect from God often become spiritually stagnant and why faith was never meant to be limited to Sunday mornings. You'll learn seven practical aspects of building a healthy relationship with God that can strengthen your identity, deepen your faith, and influence how you lead at home and in the world. If you want a faith that produces real fruit instead of passive Christianity, this episode will help you take the next step.

Men,
Could the reason you're struggling in leadership, marriage, or fatherhood be that you don't fully know who God says you are?
Are you trying to lead others when you haven't yet learned how to lead yourself?
You can't give what you don't have—so if you're struggling to lead your wife, children, or team, do you truly know who you are?
Why do so many men struggle in leadership, marriage, and fatherhood even when they're trying their best? In this episode, Glenn argues that the missing ingredient is identity—knowing who God is, who He created you to be, and learning to live from that truth. He explains why insecurity grows when men look for identity within themselves rather than receiving it from God, and how that affects their ability to lead themselves and others. You'll discover what Scripture says about your identity in Christ, why revelation is different from knowledge, and how a renewed understanding of who you are changes the way you live. If you want to grow in confidence, strengthen your faith, and become a more effective leader at home and beyond, this episode will help you build from the right foundation.

Have your anger, frustration, or anxious reactions ever hurt your wife, your children, or the people closest to you?
What if your biggest struggle isn't stress itself, but the way you've trained yourself to respond to it?
Do stressful situations bring out the best in you—or the worst? In this episode, Glenn shares a personal story about how anxiety, uncertainty, and unprocessed emotions affected his relationship with his wife during a trip overseas. He explains the biblical difference between your spirit, soul, and body, and why many men struggle with anger when their emotions overpower clear thinking and wise decision-making.
